“About 4.6 billion years ago, when our solar system was created, a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen atoms joined together to make clouds of hot steam that eventually cooled to form water, which fell to Earth as rain, formed the oceans and carved the continents into shape.” I think that this quote is important because it explains how the water on earth came and that is important because without water there would be no life and we wouldn't exist. Water is a very important thing to every one of us. Some questions I have after reading this is: Did the water fall only on the earth? and if so why? and why not on other planets?, and if it did fall on other planets, what happened to the water? Sagan's comments are still relevant to today because they match what is happening today. We are still looking for life but probably won't find some anytime soon. That are still important today because it was a prediction written a long time ago and they are still important because they are true. Little Italy: After the video I think that is interesting how water reacts to different substances. I didn't really get most of the video but I saw how when water goes on different things it either soaks up or doesn't. I also thought it was cool that, that scientist was the first one to pre discover many laws and researchers only found out later on.
